2016 Infiniti QX50
Predecessor of the 2016 Infiniti QX50 is EX35 model, launched back in 2007. For eight years, this vehicle has been changed a lot. Now, it is higher and longer than the current model. There are also some updates planned on both exterior styling and interior design. New SUV could be shown at upcoming car shows, but not all is about to be unveiled. Market sales date is still far-fetched to know.
2016 Infiniti QX50 design
As already told, proportions of 2016 Infiniti QX50 are to be changed, since we expect bigger vehicle. Longer wheelbase means more space inside the cabin. Experts predict that new QX50 will be 3 inches longer. Ride stance is also to be increased, but slightly. Nevertheless, new 2016 QX50 gets additional inch or two on both sides, so wider car is probable. Equipment will be updated, and vehicle was available in only one trim level. Same is planned for 2016 year model.
2016 Infiniti QX50 engine
Used by many other models in Infiniti family, QX50 should get 3.7-l V6 unit. Its output is around 320 hp, but few hp could be added until official unveiling. Torque level is around 270 lb-ft. Mileage could be improved and sprint to 60 mph should be better. Another unit is mentioned in rumors. The 2016 Infiniti QX50 could get upgraded 3.8-l V6. It could have higher output levels, probably 400 hp is a mark to achieve. Mileage for 3.7-l should be around 25 mpg for highway drive and 17 mpg for city. Automatic transmission sends power to rear wheels. It has 7 shifts. Overall thoughts about 2016 QX50 are that model won’t be improved radically.
2016 Infiniti QX50 competition and price
Main competitor of the 2016 Infiniti QX50 is Lexus RX. However, other companies has their hopes. We mean on BMW with their new X3 and Acura’s redesigned RDX. However, price could be the decisive. Current model of the QX50 cost from $35.000 to $38.000 while offering only RWD and AWD models, without additional trims. Competition is also near this mark, but we are not sure what updated models could bring.
