2016 Nissan X trail powertrain
Under the hood of the 2016 Nissan X trail is the same option as for the previous edition. It is 2.5-l supercharged four-cylinder drivetrain. It delivers 170 hp and 170 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent through six speed Xtronic CVT automatic gearbox, to front wheels or all wheels, optional. Manual transmission is not available in this model. We already told that more lightweight materials is going to be used, and it leads to better mileage. Now, it should be 26 mpg in city and 33 mpg on highway. However, biggest addition should be hybrid drivetrain. Electric battery will be mated to 2.0-l four-cylinder engine. This combination improves mpg rate additionally, without losing too much on power.
2016 Nissan X trail competition and price
When it appears, probably during 2015, X train crossover will face competition in Mazda CX-5 and Honda CR-V from their compatriot companies, and GMC Terrain as the representative of the US.
