2017 Nissan Cube
Cube is one of the most popular MPV in the market and it has been produced for nearly 30 years. Advantages of this vehicle are practical use, good price and great reliability. Same characteristics will be kept for 2017 Nissan Cube. With cut in production in 2009 for US market, we believe that new model could return Cube overseas, but company officials didn’t confirm this story. One thing is sure – big overhaul is in progress, so new MPV can offer modern look and excellent performance.
2017 Nissan Cube powertrain
One of total four engines could be found in different versions of 2017 Nissan Cube. Base models come with 1.5-l I-4 HR15DE unit, providing good fuel economy and less power than others. More horses are gained from 1.6-l four-cylinder HR16DE engine and 1.5-l K9K dCi with four cylinders. Top of the class Cube van comes with biggest powertrain. It is 1.8-l inline-four engine MR18DE. Outputs are going to be in range from 110 hp to 150 hp. Transmissions mated to any of these engines are unknown and it is speculated between CVT, 5-speed manual gearbox, or automated system with either 6 or 8 gears. Estimated fuel economy goes over 30 mpg combined, probably even more with Xtronic CVT gearbox.
2017 Nissan Cube hybrid
Not only traditional power sources will be installed under the hood of the 2017 Nissan Cube, but also electric batteries could boost power and fuel economy. During 2008, company had shown EV-02 test mule with electric motor. If this model comes to lineup, it could add 80 kW lithium ion battery to petrol units. However, Nissan pays more attention to its main hybrid, Leaf. Nevertheless, Cube in this form could be interesting to all fans and experts.
2017 Nissan Cube redesign
We still don’t know if Nissan is going to launch this model in US. If that happens, new generation could start with 2017 Nissan Cube. Many changes should be applied if this is about to be done, and according to some sources, big overhaul is prepared for new van. Few of added features are LED accent colors, dashboard and new touch-screen display. Outside, grille, wheels and doors will get new shape, making 2017 Cube more aggressive.
