One of the oldest vehicles in current Nissan lineup is its truck Navara. Although twelfth generation is still running the roads, truck is one of the most popular models. Pick-up is comfortable and will offer few variations to meet expectations of various buyers. Although, new 2017 Nissan Navara won’t change engine range for upcoming vehicle, it is going to be refreshed and modern.
2017 Nissan Navara arrival and price
Final stages of development are ongoing, so do not be surprised if you see 2017 Nissan Navara very soon. Company hasn’t announced when it could be. Without official information, we can predict that truck is coming somewhere during mid-2016. Base models are going to be available from $18.000, while top of the class models, with more towing capacity and extra packages, will be priced up to $35.000.
2017 Nissan Navara engine
The 2017 Nissan Navara is powered again from diesel motor. It is the same 2.5-l four-banger, which could be found installed in current truck. However, this unit is available in two power output variants. First engine can make 163 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, while drivetrain with higher output delivers 190 hp and 330 lb-ft of torque. Both turbo-diesel engines are mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission. Since more lightweight materials are going to be used for body, weight drop is expected and with it better fuel economy. Regular 3.0-l V6 diesel powertrain is not sure yet. It is possible that this option will be dropped, and company could develop new engine instead of that. But this is still unconfirmed rumor about new 2017 Navara.
2017 Nissan Navara redesign
Styling of the Navara was changed for the current model, so major modifications are not expected for upcoming truck. It will get more chrome and aluminum parts, while fog lights on the bumper are going to be revisited. Few inches could be added to ground clearance for better off-roading. Lights are getting new shape, with chrome covers and daytime running lights. Higher trims get more options and cost more. Inside the cabin, a lot of leather is used for seats and steering wheel, and we expect latest apps on the infotainment system supported with touch-screen display.
