New 2018 Nissan Micra has been spotted in street testing, and we received a confirmation for rumors that surrounded this car for a quite while – new vehicle will start a new generation. This is fifth generation and it seems like many changes are applied. However, it is hard to recognize all under the heavy camouflage, but it is obvious that workers in Japanese carmaker were busy recently developing new compact car. According to first spy shots, Micra is overhauled and new platform brings interesting solutions. However, what we can see on these photos is not carved in stone, since vehicle won’t be released soon, and many changes are still possible.

Since first model of the 2018 Nissan Micra has been spotted in Spain, we had a peak in what we can expect of it. And new generation is an answer. Nissan is using new CMF platform for new car and it brings many changes. Some of them are more aggressive appearance and modified B-segment of the car. Hood is lower than before, and grille is giving more muscular appearance to this compact vehicle. Wheel arches and A-pillar are changed. Front fascia redesign is completed with new lamps and bumper. Roof is giving the impression of the sporty and coupe car. LED taillights are wrapped from hatchback, which is part of sporty appearance.

It is up to buyers if they pick manual or automatic mode. With many body structure changes comes weight reduce. That means 2018 Micra is going to be more efficient. Diesel powertrain still could be developed, as well as some other, lighter, structure components.
