If we can rely on the latest reports, the 2020 Nissan Terrano is about to come with some pretty interesting novelties. The compact crossover has been sold in India and few more markets for years, so there is a big chance that you are not familiar with it. Therefore, it seems okay to mention that this model is actually nothing more than a rebadged Dacia Duster, which comes with a little bit different front face, based on Nissan’s design language.
Rest of the vehicle is pretty much the same as the Romanian popular compact SUV. For the next year, it looks like we are about to see some interesting novelties. Various reports are suggesting new styling, as well as a couple of interior updates. Other than that, things are about to remain the same. Therefore, the 2020 Nissan Terrano probably won’t come much earlier than usual, definitely within the last quarter of this year.
2020 Nissan Terrano Redesign
In terms of the exterior design, the 2020 Nissan Terrano is expected to come with interesting novelties. As you may know, the Duster has been significantly updated a couple of years ago. Some even call it a new generation, but the fact is that the platform has remained the same, as well as many other design characteristics. Anyway, the Terrano is about to go in the same way.
Therefore, we expect to see a full load of aesthetical updates, particularly at the front. The new model should feature a completely new face, adapted to the brand’s new design language, so we could easily see one of the latest iterations of the famous V-Motion design language. Mechanically, the new models probably won’t change too much. A familiar B0 platform will definitely remain, while some suspension tweaks are possible. Still, don’t expect to see anything significant.
This update should also bring a couple of interesting novelties on the inside as well. The first thing that comes to mind is a new dashboard design. Once again, it will be borrowed from the Duster. So, count on a new layout, which is highlighted by new air-vents, positioned in the center area. Of course, there is much much, including new materials, new color schemes and similar things. Naturally, we will see tech updates as well. Count on a new touchscreen, with a new infotainment system, along with many other novelties. Generally, the new model should be more generous when it comes to standard equipment.
2020 Nissan Terrano Engines
The engine lineup will largely remain the same, although some of the engines will get slight revisions. Also, there is one new engine to come. Of course, we are talking about the new 1.3-liter turbo unit, which is characterized by excellent efficiency. The rest of the lineup is pretty familiar, although there are some revisions. We have no doubt that a 1.5-liter dCi will remain one of the most popular choices, especially if we consider that it has received a not just a slight power boost, but it also available with a dual-clutch transmission. Also, AWD version is available too.
Of course, there are also familiar gasoline units, such as the turbocharged 1.2-liter engine, as well as a naturally-aspirated 1.6-liter mill. These engines come with manual transmission.
2020 Nissan Terrano Release Date and Price
Despite the fair amount of novelties, the 2020 Nissan Terrano probably won’t come much earlier than usual. We expect to see it sometime in the last quarter of the year. When it comes to the price, base models are expected to go around 10 Lakhs, which roughly goes around 15.500 dollars.
