The Rogue has been one of the best-selling crossovers on the market for years and there are several good reasons for that. It offers an upscale cabin, loads of features, huge cargo area and a pretty good fuel economy. However, the current generation has been around since 2014 and it won’t get any younger. Despite the 2017 update, it needs improvements in terms of driving characteristics. Therefore, the 2021 Nissan Rogue redesign seems natural. The testing model has already been spotted on the road and it is expected to hit the market sometime in the second half of the next year.
2021 Nissan Rogue Redesign
Although it is still early to talk about details, we are pretty sure that most 2021 Nissan Rogue changes will be evolutionary. First of all, we count on the same CMF platform, though with significant updates. Interestingly, this architecture debuted in the current-generation Rogue and now it’s used for a variety of Nissan and Renault models. The updates and upgrades should bring improvements in various aspects, particularly in terms of handling and dynamics. Also, we count on a little bit of weight savings, though we have to say that the current model is already quite fuel-efficient.
Of course, one of the most interesting aspects of the 2021 Nissan Rogue will be exterior design. The testing model has been spotted and the road. It wears a complete camouflage, but can easily see that the overall shape doesn’t feature any radical changes. The dimensions also look pretty similar, though we still don’t the exact details.
On the other side, we count on completely new aesthetics. Of course, we can’t talk about details, as the testing model wears a camouflage. Still, a couple of things can be seen through the cover. First of all, the thing that seems most obvious is the latest iteration of the brand’s familiar V-Motion grille. The rest of the front face should be designed in the same manner as well. On the rear end, it looks like the new model will feature much narrower taillights. A floating roof is another thing that looks obvious.
When it comes to the interior design, the 2021 Nissan Rogue is still a complete mystery. Still, we have no doubt that Nissan is going to continue with doing a great job, as the current generation features a cabin that isn’t just looking good, but also offers plenty of functionality. Seats are spacious and comfortable, while the cargo area is among the biggest in the class.
We expect the Japanese manufacturer will continue to improve this aspect, so we count on new dashboard design, even better materials and loads of latest tech features.
2021 Nissan Rogue Engines
This part of the new crossover is a little bit tricky. The current model comes with a familiar 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, which is good for about 170 horsepower and comes in pair with a CVT gearbox. It’s a quite efficient engine, but most rivals are more powerful and offer better driving dynamics. Therefore, we count on changes for the 2021 Nissan Rogue. Most likely, the current engine will remain, but we could see some power boost. On the other side, the current engine could remain in base models, while some more powerful, turbo-four units could be used for higher trims. Finally, we expect to see a new hybrid version in the offer.
2021 Nissan Rogue Release Date and Price
According to the latest reports, the 2021 Nissan Rogue will most likely come in about a year. The current model features a starting price of around 25.000 dollars and we don’t expect significant changes after this redesign.
