This is an all-electric version of company’s light commercial vehicle called NV200. Although it was officially launched about year ago, first trials begun in 2011 with Japan Post Service. The pre-production version was presented at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show, while production model was unveiled in Geneva last year. Model finally went on sale last May as 2015 Nissan e-NV200 and so far, it is well accepted on many markets. Compared to standard, petrol-powered model, it comes with several unique features. According to the company, about 30 percent of the vehicle is made of new components.

As we already mentioned, 2015 Nissan e-NV200 features about 30 percent of unique parts. Compared to standard NV200, it comes not only with a different powertrain, but also with visual changes, modified chassis, revisited interior etc. When it is about outside look, this model features several changes. The front fascia is completely adapted to the company’s “EV” styling, pretty much same as one Nissan Leaf. There are also a central-charging doors and modern blue-tinted LED headlights. Inside 2015 Nissan e-NV200 you can also find plenty of unique features. You will firstly note new instrument table with completely digital read out. This table shows plenty of information such as speed, state of charge, vehicle range, motor output and regeneration and many other.
2015 Nissan e-NV200 engine
The 2015 Nissan e-NV200 is an all-electric vehicle, which comes with the pretty much same powertrain as Nissan Leaf. It features the same 80 kW AC synchronous motor, which is fully integrate to the battery charger and inverter. However, there are some differences. The Lithium-ion is slightly modified. Although it features the same number of modules (48) and same 24 kWh capacity, it is repacked and it doesn’t compromising cargo capacity at all. This van is already a class-leader when it is about cargo space, so it is easy to conclude that company did a great job with this new battery. This drivetrain is coupled with single-speed transmission. It is also worth to mention that this light van features quick charger, so battery could be recharged from 0 to 80 percents in less than 30 minutes.
