Following its impressive track record in the crossover segment, Nissan has again come out with an innovative family hatchback model in the form of 2015 Nissan Pulsar. Primarily aimed at C-Segment, Nissan has come out with incredible and new innovative features and bolder design elements to make it attractive to D-Segment.

Known for its bold design features, Nissan continues its tradition by coming out with striking and spacious design elements. The front grille and bumper design and placement have been done in a manner so as to give a sleeker look and feel to 2015 Pulsar. The rear of the 2015 Nissan Pulsar comes with Boomerang shaped light clusters that get tightly integrated with the rear panels and the tail gate. The rear of the Pulsar gets an athletic make over through a lower bumper element that resembles a diffuser element.

One of the significant design features introduced in 2015 Pulsar is the spacious interior leg space for the passengers seated at the back of the car. Rear passengers gets a knee room of 692mm, which is far higher than the rear knee room levels provided in C-Segment cars and also in a majority of the D-Segment cars. The longer wheelbase of 2700mm has made it possible to provide such a spacious leg room for the passengers.

The 2015 Nissan Pulsar comes fitted with an advanced four cylinder 1.2 liter DIG-T Engine. It can be considered as the most advanced in C-Segment. Engine has the capability to produce a power of 115 PS when going at speeds of 4500rpm. The engine also produces high level toque output in the range of 190Nm at relatively lower speeds of 2000 rpm. Engine comes with a six speed manual transmission and can quickly accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in a matter of 10.7 seconds. The engine provides an excellent fuel economy and emission ratings. The fuel consumption is in the range of 56.5 miles per gallon, which is one of best mileage level achieved in the C-Class segment. The engine also has a stop-start feature that plays a major role in reducing the CO2 emissions and increasing the fuel efficiency.

The 2015 Nissan Pulsar comes equipped with a number of innovative features such as around view Monitor (AVM) system. That actually gives the driver a 360 degree bird’s eye view of the space surround ding the car. This feature enables the driver to get advanced information about the obstacles waiting for them. This AVM feature is automatically activated when the vehicle is put in reverse gear. Based on the AVM system, Nissan has also introduced a Moving object detection system that works in tandem with AVM to alert the driver when another object or person comes in to the path of the reversing Pulsar. Some of the other innovative features include blind spot warning systems, self cleaning cameras and Lane departure warning systems.

2015 Nissan Pulsar price and release date

The petrol version of the Nissan Pulsar starts at 15,995 pounds while the diesel version comes with a starting price of 17,595 pounds. Both versions of 2015 Pulsar are expected to hit the roads by the middle of 2015.
