As you probably know, the most important car show of this month is definitely one that is held in China. It is the 2015 Shanghai Auto Show, which brought plenty of premieres. All major manufacturers presented their novelties for Chinese market, which is considered as one of the most-attractive and fastest growing markets in the world. Japanese giant Nissan is not an exception. This company presented several new models and one of them is 2016 Nissan Lannia. It is an all-new sedan, which is completely designed by Nissan’s China division. It will be offered primarily on Chinese market, but probably on some others too.
2016 Nissan Lannia specs
As we already mentioned, 2016 Nissan Lannia is sedan designed especially for Chinese market. It was completely designed and developed by Nissan Design China and it will be made completely in China also. This car is designed primarily for young drivers, so its main characteristics are attractive look, great performances and also a plenty of high-tech features. When it is about outside look, 2016 Lannia completely follows company’s new design language, which includes things like V-motion grille, kick-up C-pillar, floating roof and boomerang-shaped headlights. We can say that it looks pretty much as new Maxima, just in smaller pack.
Interior of this sedan is completely adapted to the needs of young driver. Its main characteristic is a whole bunch of technologies. The 2016 Nissan Lannia will feature an integrated infotainment system, developed completely in China and some of most notable features will be an advanced audio system with smart-phone connectivity and a seven-inch multimedia display screen. New sedan will be also equipped with many safety features.

Although we don’t have official information yet, it is expected that new Nissan Lannia will have the same powertrain as new Maxima. It will be powered by new 3.5 liter DOHC V6, which has an output of 260 horsepower and 240 lb-ft of torque. When it is about transmission, 2016 Lannia will use advanced Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT).
2016 Nissan Lannia release date
This model has been presented just recently at the 2015 Shanghai Auto Show. It is expected that it will hit the market by the end of year. Price is still unknown.
