The Micra, known also as March (Latin America) is a supermini car produced by Nissan. It was originally introduced in 1982. So far we have seen four generations of it. During all these years of production, Micra gained reputation as one of the best cars in class, praised mainly for its durability and reliability. Current model was released in 2010 and so far, it received several updates. However, it will be replaced by new, fifth generation of this supermini, which is expected to come later this year as 2016 Nissan Micra. The exact details about 2016 Nissan Micra are still unknown, so we will rely mainly on speculations. One thing that is for sure is that new model will be developed together with Renault and that will be designed in Europe. It is expected that new model will be based on Nissan’s B platform. Platform is used for various models such as Juke, Note, Cube, Renault Clio, Renault Modus, Renault Twingo, Dacia Logan, Sandero, Duster and many other. It is expected that 2016 Nissan Micra will get completely new look. It will follow company’s new design language, which is already used for several new models, mainly SUVs like new Pathfinder, X-Trail or Quashqai. When it is about engines, exact information is still unknown. However, it is expected that 2016 Micra will be available in many variants. Some of engines that are used for current model are expect to remain.
