2016 Nissan Pathfinder


The Pathfinder has been part of the Nissan family for 30 years.  When some vehicle survive so long, that means it is really popular and quality. Mid-size SUV segment has never been populated as nowadays, so fight for a market share is tough. However, 2016 Nissan Pathfinder should shake things up with new platform. This will be a part of new, fourth generation of the crossover, which should be released next year.

The 2016 Nissan Pathfinder is a four-door crossover, ready to take up to seven passengers, whose seating is arranged in three rows. The fourth generation will have total of six trim levels. There are Pathfinder vehicles available as S, SV, SL, SL Premium, Platinum and Platinum Premium. This is wide choice for all fans of mid-size SUV segment. Outside, 2016 Pathfinder will get some refreshments to appear different. Body is made mostly of aluminum and by that, weight is cut to 4,200 lbs total. New Nissan crossover gets both bumpers strengthened and styling is boosted with alloy-wheels and rear spoilers. Both head and tail-lights are using LED technology.

Cabin of new SUV won’t get too many changes and modifications. However, some refreshments will make 2016 Nissan Pathfinder look more modern. Overall impression is that crossover is spacious and comfortable. Also, there is big storage area. All seven persons inside, a number of passengers that 2016 Pathfinder can take, will have enough room for their heads and legs. Instrumental panel features hi-tech equipment. Navigation and satellite radio are just a part of it. Infotainment is also boosted with weather updates, DVD monitor and 13 speakers audio system.

Under the hood of the 2016 Nissan Pathfinder will be placed 3.5-l DOHC V6. It is mated with Xtronic CVT, and capable to produce 260 horsepower and 240 lb-feet of torque. Power is send to either front or all wheels. The 2016 Pathfinder is going to sprint to 60 mph faster than its predecessor, and also, improvement is expected on mileage. Possible hybrid model could get 2.5-l 4-cylinder unit, paired with 15 kW electric battery.
