Spy photos of the 2017 Nissan Patrol told us that we should expect this crossover slightly different from its predecessor. Changes come both on interior and exterior, but this full-size SUV will keep its well-known look. However, these photos are made on testing vehicles, so changes from that time, until release date, are possible. With enough time for developing, engineers and designer can make the 2017 Patrol impressive and more attractive.

Bold styling is a highlight of the 2017 Nissan Patrol exterior. Same platform as for predecessors is used, so only minor changes are expected on crossover’s dimensions. New grille is prepared, which makes this vehicle more aggressive. Bumper and new design of headlights are adding more elegance. Overall look is boxy, with sharp lines and edges. Inside, there will be room for five, or seven passengers, depending on trim. Design is boosted with neon green hue. Comfort is not problem with enough room for head and legs. Some of the interior features implemented to Patrol crossover are push start button, 7-inch touch-screen, DVD player, Bluetooth connectivity, BOSE audio system with 13 speakers and hands-free navigation system. There are also helping systems that includes tilt and telescopic steering wheel, cruise control, power locks and parking sensors.

The 2017 Nissan Patrol will get the power from unchanged 5.6-l V8 petrol engine. Total output of this unit is 317 hp and 385 lb-ft of torque. Transmission is 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic. For more power there is another powerplant. A V8 engine with same displacement and different tuning can make 400 horsepower with 413 lb-ft of torque. This unit also has different transmission, with 7-speed automatic gearbox mated to engine. This powertrain also uses petrol as its fuel, and new Patrol is not offered in diesel variant.

Exact release date of the 2017 Nissan Patrol is unknown yet. It is possible that crossover could be launched as 2018 year model. But, since first spy shots are made, we are sure that vehicle is going to be ready to meet the schedule. Whenever it appears, estimated value and price tag shouldn’t be more than $45.000 if it wants to be competitive in full-crossover segment.
