We are all eagerly waiting to see the next generation of the famous Z Car. However, it looks like things are not going that fast. The 2020 model year without changes and some reports suggest that the next-year model will come in the same way. This includes a hi-performance 2021 Nissan 370Z Nismo as well. The tuned version is also expected to remain in production, without any important changes. A completely redesigned version is expected to come in about two years, according to the latest reports. For that occasion, we will see loads of novelties, starting from a new engine, new chassis, styling and more. The 2021 Nissan 370Z Nismo will hit the market sometime late in the next year and we don’t expect bigger changes in terms of price.

2021 Nissan 370Z Nismo Redesign
In terms of base design characteristics, the 2021 Nissan 370Z Nismo will definitely come without any notable change. Compared to standard versions, it shares most of the parts. Of course, it rides on a familiar FM platform and features front mid-engine setup in a combination with RWD layout. Such a design ensures an amazing driving experience, even though the current generation has been around for a full decade.
Naturally, this version gets full treatment from the Nismo division. The 2021 Nissan 370Z Nismo will continue in the same way and feature various mechanical and visual upgrades. In terms of performances, this model comes with a sport-tuned suspension, upgraded tires, racing clutch, and special brake fluid and hoses. Also, there is a completely new body kit, which brings improvements both in terms of aerodynamics and styling. Still, that changes the fact that we are talking about a decade-old coupe, which definitely shows its age when it comes to aesthetics and features.

Interior
An outdated design is even more notable inside the car. Despite that the Nismo version brings various upgrades, such as Recaro seats, simulated-suede-trimmed steering wheel, 7-inch touchscreen and navigation, the overall cabin design looks quite old. First of all, the dashboard looks bulky and features lots of cheap plastics. This is something you won’t find in much younger rivals like Mazda Miata, Audi TT, Ford Mustang etc. Also, the list of standard equipment should be longer.
2021 Nissan 370Z Nismo Engine
When it comes to powertrain, the current model still stands pretty good. The 2021 Nissan 370Z Nismo will continue in the same way, with a tuned version of 3.7-liter V6, which delivers around 350 horsepower. Also, we like that short-shifting and very precise 6-speed manual transmission. All in all, the driving experience is really good. Driving dynamics are great, handling is even better. Nimble handling is probably the only thing that keeps this coupe competitive. On the other side, we can’t say that the daily ride is actually comfortable. Also, we don’t like the fact that fuel economy is among the lowest in the class. You can count on about 19 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway.

2021 Nissan 370Z Nismo Release Date
The 2021 Nissan 370Z Nismo is expected to hit the market sometime in the last quarter of next year. We presume that the price will remain the same, which means around 46.000 dollars.
Redesign
The next-generation of the legendary Z Car is highly anticipated and we hope it will come in the near future. Of course, we have huge expectations for it. The latest reports are suggesting a new 3.0-liter V6 engine with around 400 horsepower, as well as a completely new design. A good-old FM platform should be replaced with something more efficient and up to date, while the new model should also be more practical for the daily ride. Naturally, the new styling should come as well. Most likely, the new model will happen in about two years.
