The upcoming 2022 Infiniti QX55 is scheduled to arrive in the coming weeks. Many consider this model to be a variation of the QX50, but with a sloping roof. However, the reality is a little more complicated. The QX55 features a fastback design and is rather beautiful. Its design is based on the 2003 FX model. Indeed, the QX55 and QX50 share a chassis and a turbocharged engine.
However, the QX55 comes standard with all-wheel drive and sportier wheels. It has a more aggressive appearance and a somewhat better interior. In general, this coupe-style crossover SUV offers a great deal, and sales will commence this fall.
Infiniti QX55 Provides Amazing Design
The all-new 2022 Infiniti QX55 is a completely new model. As a result, this SUV will demonstrate something fresh, maybe Infiniti’s new design language. As previously stated, this is a QX50 model with a sloping roof. However, the QX55 version appears to be somewhat more assertive and unmistakably more forceful. Additionally, its attitude and several external components are sportier. For instance, the new model’s dynamic 20-inch wheels are an excellent upgrade.
Every aspect of this model is sleek and contemporary. The roofline is inspired by the iconic Infiniti FX35 vehicle. The front fascia has a double-arch grille and more angular LED headlamps. The side profile reveals an excellent fastback design, while the rear section is just fantastic. The new QX55 model will be available in the extremely popular Dynamic Sunstone Red exterior paint color.
Interior Features
The cabin appears to be elegant and contemporary. However, the interior of the 2022 Infiniti QX55 is very similar to that of the QX50. Infiniti obviously believes that its instantly identifiable interior is doing an excellent job, and so there is no reason to add anything new. The QX55 SUV has attractive quilted leather seating, a straightforward appearance, and a slew of luxury features.
Although the base trim level includes faux-leather seats, genuine leather upholstery is available as an option. There are several open-pore wood trims and carbon materials available. Although the sloping roofline gives ample headroom, the cargo space is not very large. The QX55 model will include a dual-screen infotainment system and a slew of driver assistance features.
Engine Specs
The forthcoming 2022 Infiniti QX55 will deploy the same 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine as the QX50. It features a turbocharged VC-Turbo engine with a maximum output of 268 horsepower. Infiniti’s standard equipment includes a continuously variable automatic gearbox and all-wheel-drive system. This is the primary distinction between the QX50 and QX55 trim levels.
This crossover accelerates from zero to sixty miles per hour in around 6.2 seconds, and the ride comfort is absolutely astounding. In our perspective, the mix of athletic handling and a sportier personality is ideal. Finally, fuel economy ratings are not yet available. However, we do know that the QX50 model equipped with an identical engine achieves a highway fuel economy of 27 mpg.
Infiniti QX55 Price and Release Date in 2022
The approaching 2022 Infiniti QX55 will begin at $43,000. Three trim levels will be available: Luxe, Essential, and Sensory. The Essential trim is priced at $45,000, while the Sensory trim is priced at over $50,000. This all-new crossover is scheduled to arrive in showrooms this fall.
