The forthcoming 2022 Nissan GTR Nismo is a truly unique car with so much to offer. Reportedly, Nissan is building a limited number of GTR Nismo models, saying it is the special edition variant for the United States. The orders will be opened this fall. Interestingly, both Nissan 370Z and Nissan GTR are the two oldest performance cars available today.
This model comes with tradition and incredible performances. The GTR Nismo (R35) provides an aggressive and sporty design, along with special features and a unique exterior color palette. Here’s everything you need to know.
2022 GTR Nismo Looks Incredibly Sporty
A more aggressive aero package with a big rear wing and a red trimming distinguishes the 2022 Nissan GTR Nismo. The Nismo variant is finished in a lovely unique Stealth Gray with an exposed carbon-fiber hood. Moreover, the Nismo model also has carbon hoods in the non-special edition. New GTR also offers a series of red ribbons and the NISMO emblem made from 20-inch aluminum-alloy wheels.
It is the first GTR to wear the new Nissan badge on the trunk and center caps. Nissan will also deliver hand-constructed engines with a distinctive plaque with red lettering. The result is an incredibly sporty car with an athletic stance and extremely sporty design.
The 2022 Nissan GTR Nismo will offer amazing performances. Nissan is supposed to launch the final edition of the Godzilla R 35, it is allegedly gone with the 710-hp. It is about 15 years old by then and it is anticipated that this swan song would be a restricted affair with about 20 units at its limits. If that figure of output is familiar, it is because the special model is supposed to employ the same drive system as the GT-R50 and its huge torque of 575 lb-ft of torque.
As you will recall, the GT-R50, fitted with turbochargers from the GT3-spec GT-R, has a heavier enhanced version of the 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 engine, further tuned by Nismo. In addition to massive intercoolers with high-strength fuel injectors, the powertrain also offers reinforcements to the six-speed dual-clutch gearbox and other key components. Anyway, the GTR Nismo will deploy a 3.8-liter V6 engine and it will produce around 600 horsepower. A four-wheel-drive setup is standard. Thanks to that, this car will sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds.
2022 Nissan GTR Nismo Price and Release Date
The price of the all-new 2022 Nissan GTR Nismo (R35) will start at around $210,000. Of course, this is not official yet, but this model won’t come cheap, that’s for sure. The orders open this fall, so the sales could begin by the end of the year. Unfortunately, Nissan will build new GTR Nismo in limited numbers. According to some reports, the manufacture will build only 20 examples. We are waiting for more official details, including the exact starting price.
