2022 Nissan Note e-Power is Coming to the US

0

The upcoming 2022 Nissan Note e-Power is almost here. Nissan unveiled its new Note hatchback just last week. The previous version was sold in the United States as the Versa Note until the 2019 model year. The newest edition of the company’s e-Power powertrain will be used in this new generation.

Nissan is pushing on with the development of its unusual e-Power powertrain. The manufacturer has launched a new model, the Note e-Power but it is called Note Aura in its native market of Japan. The new Nissan Note Aura is marketed as a luxury small hatchback, but we all know it’s simply a baby Ariya. Some details are not available at the moment. Anyway, here’s everything you need to know about it.

2022 Note e-Power Driving Range, Power

The all-new 2022 Nissan Note e-Power has a 1.2-liter gasoline engine. In the Note, it functions primarily as a power generator for the battery pack. As a result, the lithium-ion battery powers the hatchback, delivering electricity to a front-mounted electric motor. The Aura Note can achieve 78 miles per gallon, and keep in mind that this will be a commuting car, so its 134 horsepower and 221 lb-ft of torque should get the job done.

Another unique feature of e-Power is that the Note’s gasoline engine can directly power the electric motor under heavy loads, which is a great thing. Nissan intends to sell a pure-electric, all-wheel-drive version in addition to the e-Power variant as well. However, we are waiting for the Japanese manufacturer to reveal further details.

Nissan Note Nismo S

Another cool thing about the 2022 Nissan Note e-Power is its Nismo variant. Yes, Note Nismo will go on sale, but only in Japan. However, this could change in the coming years. As you know, Nismo is Nissan’s high-performance division that also brings a lot of sportiness. Note model seems like a perfect candidate. It will be a hot hatchback with a lower stance and improved aerodynamics.

Even the interior will gain new Recaro seats and much more. Under the hood, we expect a similar setup where Note Nismo will produce around 140 horsepower. The driving range will be impressive, but still slightly lower than in the regular Note e-Power.

Exterior Design

The all-new 2022 Nissan Note e-Power looks great. The Note seems to be a very handsome hatchback and uses the brand’s “Timeless Japanese Futurism” design language. Clearly, the new Note is based on the all-electric Ariya crossover. Thanks to that, the new Note looks far more contemporary than its predecessor. While most models grow in size with each new generation, the new Note is about 2.1 inches shorter and has a shorter wheelbase as well.

A lower-spec trim level comes with stunning 15-inch steel wheels and halogen headlights. On the other hand, the upper trim levels feature 16-inch alloy wheels with a sword blade-like design and four-point LED headlights. The Note will offer up to 13 different exterior colors.
