The 2022 Nissan Sunny is a sedan that has recently gained a lot of popularity on the Egyptian streets, as well as a lot of demand and success in the Egyptian market. This will logically result in an unofficial price increase. Of course, numerous upgrades will also have a great impact on the starting price.
Sunny is popular in Arabian countries, and the current generation debut at the Dubai International Motor Show, two years ago. Now, Nissan will deliver interesting modifications. Here’s everything you need to know about this impressive sedan.
Engine Specs
The forthcoming 2022 Nissan Sunny will deploy the same 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine. This unit is producing 118 horsepower and 110 lb-ft of torque. A front-wheel-drive system comes as standard, using a five-speed manual transmission. However, CVT transmission is optional, along with the all-wheel-drive setup. Performances are solid, with Sunny sedan providing 36 mpg combined.
As you can see, the focus is on fuel efficiency. Still, it is interesting that Nissan still does not offer an optional and more potent drivetrain option. Top speed is rated at 11 mph and the Sunny model accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in ten seconds flat.
Nissan Sunny Facelift
New 2022 Nissan Sunny will gain a mid-cycle facelift. Once you see this model, you can easily spot similarities with the Altima and Maxima models. In our honest opinion, Altima is one of the best-looking sedans right now. Clearly, this is a good thing for the Sunny model as it looks very modern and stylish. This sedan is 174.2 inches long and 66.7 inches wide.
On top of that, this car is 59.1 inches high. All trim levels are looking bolder than before and the base version offers 15-inch wheels as standard. As you move up through the trim levels, Nissan will provide 16-inch and even 17-inch wheels. Changes on the 2022MY include new fog lights, a tinted rear window, and new exterior paints.
Interior Updates
Inside the cabin, the 2022 Nissan Sunny will introduce minor updates only. This modern sedan will continue to offer smart interior design with premium touches and finishes. The base trim level comes with manual air conditioning and cloth upholstery. Automatic climate control and leather seats will be optional once again. The steering wheel will now sport even more controls.
However, the only updates will be in terms of safety. The Sunny sedan will now provide additional driver-assistance aids, such as blind-spot monitoring and adaptive cruise control systems. Interestingly, a 7-inch touchscreen is standard in all trim levels. However, the range-topping trim comes with ambient lighting, a wireless charger, and other premium features.
2022 Nissan Sunny Release Date, Price
From what we know, the upcoming 2022 Nissan Sunny will gain a significant jump in price. However, we don’t know if the new model will cost $13,500 or even $15,000.
