As before, the Titan pickup truck is continuing with the improvements. Now, the 2022 Nissan Titan is about to arrive. This model can be had in numerous trim levels and configurations. It offers everything, from the base trim level to the off-road variants and diesel engine.
Another popular version is the Titan XD. All models will get the same upgrades and some of them will be significant. The sales will begin by the end of the year and here’s everything you need to know.
2022 Titan XD
To begin, the 2022 Nissan Titan XD is the Titan’s heavy-duty variant. As a result, it has a longer body and wheelbase, as well as a larger bed than the Titan. On top of that, the suspension is higher, albeit the amount of additional height varies.
This version rides on a 5.6-liter V8 gasoline engine. The same powerplant can be found in SUVs such as Armada and Infiniti QX80. Moreover, a 5.0-liter V8 diesel engine with 330 hp and 555 lb-ft of torque will be on offer. As before, Titan XD is available exclusively in a crew cab configuration.
Pro 4X Version
And while the Titan XD is a heavy-duty version, the 2022 Nissan Titan PRO-4X is an off-road-oriented model. Powered by the same V8 gasoline engine, the Titan PRO-4X truck comes with additional off-road equipment. That includes electronic locking rear differential, skid plates, red tow hooks, and much more.
Both the exterior and the interior are wearing orange accents, like the Frontier PRO-4X variant. Of course, this version also comes with better approach and departure angles. Overall, it is an incredible off-road variant with a sportier look.
Changes
Since the Titan had a significant upgrade for 2020, we don’t anticipate any significant modifications for this huge half-ton pickup truck in 2022. The 2022 Nissan Titan is a rugged truck with a proven structure and engine, and the 2020 update included a completely redesigned cabin with an optional 9-inch touchscreen, standard Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and contemporary safety suite.
There are two cab configurations available: the King Cab, which features rear-hinged rear doors, and the Crew Cab, which features four conventional doors. However, we’d expect Nissan to upgrade the exterior color palette. On top of that, the manufacturer will provide a mild facelift and the interior will gain more upright materials.
2022 Nissan Titan Price and Release Date
While Ford, General Motors, and Ram sell much more full-size trucks than Nissan, the Titan does come with a fantastic warranty. On the other side, the 2022 Nissan Titan cannot compete with the Ram 1500, Ford F-150, and Chevy Silverado 1500.
We anticipate that the new Titan will start at around $37,000. That price is for a rear-wheel-drive Nissan Titan S King Cab. Expect to pay around $3,000 more for a Crew Cab and approximately $3,000 more for a 4WD setup. The top-of-the-line Nissan Titan, the Platinum Crew Cab 4×4, starts about $60,000
