The upcoming 2023 Nissan GT-R T-Spec will hit the dealerships later this year, with minor upgrades. The current generation arrived recently, so we don’t expect a major overhaul at the moment. The good news is that the GT-R model will continue to live in the United States.
However, the GT-R R35 model will not arrive in Europe, with the rest of the GT-R lineup to follow. The reason is obvious, CO2 emission regulations. The T-Spec is a limited edition that slots between the Premium variant and the sportier NISMO version. Without further ado, here’s everything you need to know.
Nissan GT-R T-Spec Colors and Changes
As we said, we don’t expect major visual upgrades on the 2023 Nissan GT-R T-Spec. The T-Spec variant comes with a unique hood and wider fenders. On top of that, it features a carbon-fiber spoiler and a relatively new engine cover plate.
Riding on sporty copper-tone alloy wheels, the T-Spec model looks incredibly sporty and aggressive. You can find a lot of badges on each side of the car. The iconic Millennium Jade exterior color will be available once again. On top of that, you can choose the Midnight Purple paint as an option.
Interior Features
As this is a very expensive model, the cabin is very premium and full of luxury. The 2023 Nissan GT-R T-Spec comes in Mori Green interior color schemes, offering leather seats as standard. On top of that, pearl suede accents are available as well, along with the quilted Alcantara headliner. We expect to see a couple of upgrades, mostly in terms of technology.
That includes updated infotainment and new safety features. We don’t know if Nissan plans to introduce a larger touchscreen option. It is a possibility, although we think it is unlikely to happen for 2023MY.
Lots of Power, Impressive Acceleration
Under the hood, the upcoming 2023 Nissan GT-R T-Spec will hide the same 3.8-liter V6 engine. It is a very potent twin-turbo engine, producing 565 horsepower and 467 lb-ft of torque. There is also an improved version that generates up to 600 horsepower and 481 lb-ft of torque. The T-Spec variant will also borrow the carbon-ceramic brakes from the GT-R Nismo model.
An all-wheel-drive system will come as standard. Moreover, a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission will be available. The performances are amazing, and this sporty car sprints from 0 to 60 mph in three seconds. Lastly, the top speed is rated at 205 mph.
2023 Nissan GT-R T-Spec Price, Release Date
The price of the upcoming 2023 Nissan GT-R T-Spec will cost $140,000 once again. This price is $25k over the Premium model. Still, GT-R NISMO will be the most expensive version with starting price of $215,000. As we said, GT-R 35 model will not arrive in Europe.
The rest of the GT-R lineup will face the same outcome, unfortunately. Still, this model will continue to live in the U.S. The sales will begin later in 2022, and GT-R T-Spec will be made and sold in limited examples.
