The 2023 Nissan Kicks SR is on the way. The Kicks crossover has been around for only four years. And while this model still rides on its first-generation, Nissan continues with the updates. While it is a relatively new model, Kicks is a proven crossover with lots of tech, compact dimensions, and solid performances.
The Nissan Kicks SR is the range-topping trim level that looks sportier and it also adds more premium stuff. That includes larger wheels, a luxury interior, and much more. Interestingly, SR stands for Super Regal, and not for Sports Rally.
Exterior Design
Unlike the base model, the 2023 Nissan Kicks SR comes with larger 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels. The wheels are wrapped in all-season tires. In case you didn’t know, the base Kicks S variant comes with 16-inch steel wheels. Nissan also provides standard LED headlights and LED fog lights.
The rear section sports LED taillights and a more aggressive bumper. Generally, the Kicks SR looks more premium and sportier than the rest of the lineup. You can choose a couple of unique exterior colors as well, and Kicks SR also comes with optional packages.
Nissan Kicks SR Interior Features
Unlike the entry-level model, the 2023 Nissan Kicks SR adds more luxury. For a start, this model comes with an Intelligent Around View Monitor, providing a panoramic view. On top of that, Nissan provides an Intelligent Cruise Control and lots of other driver-assistance aids. There will be room for five passengers with a generous interior room for such a tiny model. Everything is made of premium materials, starting from the leather-wrapped steering wheel.
The seats are very comfortable, wearing orange accents and stitching. The rest of the interior provides beautiful black accents, heated front seats, and much more. We’d like to recommend the Premium Package. This optional package offers an 8-speaker Bose sound system, more high-tech features, and even more luxury in terms of materials. The Prima-Tex seats with orange accents are available with this package for the highest possible comfort.
Transmission, MPG
The base Kicks crossover comes with a 1.6-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine. This unit is capable of producing 122 horsepower and 114 lb-ft of torque. The 2023 Nissan Kicks SR will use the same engine, which may come as a disappointment. However, Kicks SR is not a high-performance model. Instead, it is a range-topping trim level with more luxury.
This engine comes with a smooth Xtronic CVT automatic transmission. And while this model does not offer impressive acceleration, it has class-leading fuel efficiency. Whatsoever, this model gets 31 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway. With wild gas prices, Kicks could save you lots of money in the long run.
2023 Nissan Kicks SR Price, Release Date
The price between the base trim level and the 2023 Nissan Kicks SR is not so different. The base model starts at $20,000, while the Kicks SR model will cost around $23,000. The sales will begin in the coming weeks, per the source. As we said, SR stands for “Super Regal” and not “Sport Rally” so Kicks SR is more about premium stuff. We’d strongly recommend the Premium Package for the best possible version of the Kicks crossover.
