2023 Nissan Kicks Once Again Comes Without AWD System

0

The 2023 Nissan Kicks will arrive with mild upgrades. If you didn’t know, the Kicks model introduced a mid-cycle facelift for the 2021MY. Now, the 2022MY will arrive as a carryover model. Since the redesign is still not on the cards, the 2023 Kicks will once again receive a mid-cycle upgrade.

This means the subcompact crossover SUV will introduce minor cosmetic changes. The same is with the interior, and we expect slightly more features than before. Kicks is a reliable model, but it still lacks an AWD system and a more powerful engine. Anyway, we think this model is definitely worth a look at.

Nissan Kicks Facelift

As previously stated, the next 2023 Nissan Kicks will receive a mid-cycle facelift. As a result, this subcompact crossover will have a more premium appearance. The front fascia will have a larger grille, while the lower fascia will be more expressive. Another difference is that the headlamps are narrower. The rear fascia has a new bumper as well as upgraded taillights.

As before, an LED light bar will be available. Nissan should introduce new exterior paints and possibly, new wheels. This is all we know for the time being regarding the upcoming Kicks model. More information will be made available in the following weeks.

Interior Updates

The automaker will once again provide two rows of seats and seating for five occupants. The dimensions of the 2023 Nissan Kicks will remain unchanged. The cabin space is modest, yet the comfort is satisfying. The current model has an 8-inch infotainment display and a revamped center console. As a result, the 2022MY will most likely arrive with minimal improvements.

More standard equipment and safety features are expected. The entry-level Kicks has a smaller 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard. According to some reports, the Kicks will steal a few features from the all-new Nissan Ariya.

Power, Acceleration

We don’t know if Nissan will provide upgrades under the hood. The new 2023 Nissan Kicks, on the other hand, could provide the same powertrain options. Because the platform is the same, the Kicks will continue to be a front-wheel-drive crossover. The CVT automatic transmission is paired with a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 122 horsepower. Kicks will accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 10.5 seconds.

Kicks are also available in various additional countries with a smaller 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine. It is a component of Nissan’s e-Power hybrid system, which produces 127 horsepower. Even under the skin, changes are unlikely to occur. However, don’t be shocked if Nissan improves fuel economy. Unfortunately, Nissan, for some reason, will not provide the AWD system once again.
