Like the 2022MY, the 2023 Nissan Note will also bring exciting updates. For a start, the Note hatchback will get the e-Power variant. However, the 2023MY will introduce the astonishing Aura Nismo model. If you didn’t know, the last Note sold on American soil is the Versa Note model in 2019. Still, Note continues to live in other continents, mostly Asia.
We don’t expect a major makeover, but this small model will deliver a couple of important upgrades. Thanks to that, the price will increase slightly, but the new Note will be the best one so far. Furthermore, it will be the most versatile Note ever made. Without further ado, this is what we know about this model at the moment.
Nissan Note Aura Nismo
After the Note Aura, the carmaker is about to introduce the new 2023 Nissan Note Aura Nismo model. Nissan has attached a bunch of red elements you’d expect to see on every Nismo model. The design is reportedly inspired by a “swift electric city racer.” 17-inch alloy wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires are available as standard. Moreover, Aura Nismo sports slightly more aggressive bumpers as well as a large rear roof spoiler.
Inside the Note Aura Nismo, the red accents continue with Recaro seats with synthetic and fabric upholstery. The 2023 Note Aura Nismo offers a standard FWD system and it runs on a 1.2-liter engine. This gasoline unit is combined with a front electric motor and a smaller battery. This output provides 134 hp and 221 lb-ft of torque. This model will also deliver improved fuel economy ratings, but Nissan didn’t reveal exact figures.
Exterior and Interior Changes
As for the upgrades, the new 2023 Nissan Note will have mild cosmetic changes. The minor facelift will include new exterior colors and sharper lines. Note will heavily borrow styling cues from the Nissan Ariya crossover in the future. Thanks to that, this hatchback will gain a more modern look. In case you didn’t know, the new-gen Note arrived with smaller dimensions and a shorter wheelbase. The base trim level continues to ride on 15-inch wheels. Currently, there are thirteen exterior paints, so Nissan will replace some of them.
Inside the cabin, the goal is to provide more upright materials. We don’t expect design changes, and even the layout will remain intact. Again, some things will be borrowed from the Ariya all-electric crossover. Thanks to that, the interior will be more interesting and it will provide more standard features. Still, some cheap plastics will remain, so skipping the base trim level is recommended.
2023 Nissan Note Release Date, Price
The base trim level will start at below $20,000. The all-new 2023 Nissan Note Aura Nismo will cost around $26,000, although it won’t be available in the United States. Note hatchback will hit the markets in Asia in the second half of 2022. The manufacturer will reveal more details in the coming months. We will keep you posted, once Nissan provides official info.
