The upcoming 2023 Nissan Pathfinder Rock Creek has been unveiled, and it appears to be primed for adventure. Unlike the original, the Rock Creek has various changes that make it more off-road competent. This sporty variant has certain cosmetic changes, such as raised suspension, chunky tires, and a few other interior upgrades.
Nissan also claims to have done some performance tuning, which should give this version an additional 11 hp and 11 lb-ft torque when running on premium fuel. The total output is now 295 horses and a torque of 270 lb-ft. Other Pathfinder models, in case you didn’t know, have a 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 284 horsepower.
Nissan Pathfinder Rock Creek Styling Updates
The new 2023 Nissan Rock Creek model looks sportier than the base variant. This edition has a different face with an upgraded grille. We also saw Rock Creek decals on the body, including the tailgate and doors. The following visual enhancements over the regular model are 18-inch wheels wrapped in chunky all-terrain tires.
The Rock Creek’s suspension is elevated 0.6 inches for better off-road performance, and the AWD system is standard. There are four two-tone exterior colors, as well as six monotone paints. Generally, this edition adds sportier styling and more off-road gear.
Interior Changes
The interior of the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder Rock Creek appears sleek and roomy. The Rock Creek, like the regular Pathfinder, features a 12.3-inch digital instrument display with a dual-screen layout. In addition, there is a 10.8-inch head-up display (HUD) that allows the driver to observe features like the vehicle’s speed and navigation.
The Rock Creek SUV is outfitted with leatherette and fabric upholstery, embroidered logos on the seats, and gorgeous orange contrasting stitching. This variant, like some other trim levels and packages, also comes with captain’s chairs. Like the exterior design, the cabin also gets sporty upgrades and a few premium touches.
Specs
As previously stated, the Nissan Pathfinder Rock Creek will use the same 3.5-liter V6 engine as the standard model. However, Nissan has revealed that they have done some modifications, which means that while operating on premium fuel, the aforementioned engine now produces an additional 11 horsepower and 11 lb-ft of torque.
Thanks to that, Rock Creek Edition will develop 295 hp and a torque of 270 lb-ft. The contemporary original SUV, which has the same engine but does not use premium fuel, has 284 horsepower. Both models come standard with a 9-speed automatic transmission and can tow around 6,000 pounds.
