Following significant revisions for 2022, the following 2023 Nissan Pathfinder will be mostly unchanged. The 2022 Pathfinder SUV is poised to embark on a new chapter with considerable enhancements. This means that the 2023 Pathfinder will only include minor improvements. The fifth-generation Pathfinder is on its way, with an entirely new design, interior features, and powertrain options.
This model will continue to deliver a dependable V6 engine with more than adequate performance. Some reports suggest a plug-in hybrid form as well, but this is far from certain. Anyway, Nissan will unveil its new model sometime next year, and here’s everything we know about it.
Nissan Pathfinder Exterior Facelift
By the fourth generation, the Pathfinder had lost some of its raw appeals, but the redesign for 2022 restored a sliver of it. As a result, the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder will retain its current design. This model now has a more upright appearance, a flat nose, eye-catching LED headlights, and a distinctive V-motion grille.
Additionally, the Pathfinder has bolder flared fenders and other elements that set it apart from the previous generation. Given that the fifth generation is only in its second year, we predict that its design will remain intact.
Interior Updates
Inside the new 2023 Nissan Pathfinder, we expect minor updates only. Because the next-generation model is soon to arrive, the 2023MY will mostly remain unchanged. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, given that this model has a smart cabin layout and a modern design. It has streamlined buttons, a stubby gear shifter, a floating infotainment display, and a flat-bottom steering wheel, to name a few features.
Some aspects of the interior, such as the seats, appear to be sportier than before. Upper trim levels, as before, are offered with basic leather upholstery. The Pathfinder is loaded with technology, including a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and a 10.8-inch head-up display. Moreover, a relatively fresh 9-inch Android Auto/Apple CarPlay touchscreen is also available.
Engine Specs
The 3.5-liter V6 engine from the previous model will be retained in the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder. This engine produces 285 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. The Pathfinder SUV, on the other hand, does away with the CVT in favor of a new nine-speed automatic transmission. All variants have the option of the AWD system. In addition, the all-wheel-drive system has seven driving modes. Nissan has made the Pathfinder a quiet car, in addition to a smooth ride and sound deadening components.
The Pathfinder earns a combined fuel economy of 21 miles per gallon in the city. On top of that, this SUV also achieves 27 mpg on the highway when equipped with a fully equipped AWD system. A hybrid model is not official yet. However, if this is correct, Pathfinder Hybrid will produce slightly more power than the regular variant.
2023 Nissan Pathfinder Release Date, Price
The upcoming 2023 Nissan Pathfinder has no official release date, but we expect it to appear in the summer of 2022. Pricing is currently unknown, but with no changes predicted, we expect the 2023 Pathfinder to retain its current price of $34,500. Most likely rivals are models such as Ford Explorer, Honda Pilot, and Kia Telluride.
