The all-new 2023 Nissan Sentra will remain a competent five-seat sedan at an affordable price. Moreover, Sentra is also an incredibly fuel-efficient car. The 2023MY will gain mild cosmetic upgrades and a couple of interior updates.
Generally, Sentra has been completely redesigned in 2020, so it is perhaps too early for Nissan to introduce more dramatic changes. Anyway, Sentra now represents a good option in the segment, with good performance, great safety ratings, and much more. The compact Sentra sedan will once again slot below the mid-size Altima sedan.
Nissan Sentra Facelift
The upcoming 2023 Nissan Sentra won’t introduce significant visual upgrades. As we said, the current generation is only two years old, so the 2023MY comes with minor updates. Sentra looks good, it is an attractive sedan with compact dimensions. This sedan is 182.4 inches long and 71.5 inches wide. It slots below the mid-size Nissan Altima sedan.
We think the Sentra model looks attractive enough, as it comes with a sporty vibe and a recognizable V-Motion grille. If this is not good enough for you, there is an impressive Midnight Edition package. This package adds 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, rear diffuser, spoiler, and unique badging.
Interior Features and Packages
Nothing significant will change on the inside as well. However, the new 2023 Nissan Sentra will continue to offer a very upright interior with cool features. On top of that, there is an All-Weather Package, available in the SV trim level. This package adds dual-zone climate control, remote engine start, heated seats, and a heated steering wheel. Add a new Safety Shield 360 suite and you will get both a modern and safe car.
Features such as lane-departure warning, rear-cross traffic alert, and blind-spot warning are all standard. The Sentra sedan also comes with a flat-bottom steering wheel and a 7-inch touchscreen. We like the optional leather black or brown leather upholstery. As before, Sentra provides a room for five passengers.
Sentra Sedan Gets 33 MPG Combined
While this compact sedan is not powerful, it does offer incredible fuel efficiency. The 2023 Nissan Sentra will provide the same 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 149 horsepower. This engine is mated to a CVT automatic transmission. It also offers good ride quality. Still, we think the rivals such as Toyota Corolla or Honda Civic are providing an even smoother ride.
On top of that, we’d like to see a sportier version or even a hybrid powertrain, like in the Corolla Hybrid model. Some rumors are suggesting the Sentra Nismo version in the near future. Until that happens, the regular Sentra sedan will provide 33 mpg combined.
2023 Nissan Sentra Release Date, Price
The next 2023 Nissan Sentra will once again start at around $20,000. The most expensive trim level shouldn’t cost above $25,000, which is still a very affordable price. The compact sedan will go on sale later in 2022 and it will rival Honda Civic, Hyundai Elantra, and Toyota Corolla. We could expect additional changes in 2024, but the next-generation model is still not on the cards.
