The upcoming 2023 Nissan Sunny will reportedly go on sale later in 2022, this time, with minor changes. Sunny is a very comfortable sedan that provides ample interior room. It looks modern and it performs quite well. However, this model is not so premium, so it lacks some high-tech features.
Still, a diesel engine provides good mileage and more than enough power. The Sunny car is popular in Egypt and Saudi Arabia, and some other Middle East countries as well. We are waiting for Nissan to reveal more details about this model, but as we said, changes should be minor for 2023MY.
Nissan Sunny Facelift
In terms of exterior design, the new 2023 Nissan Sunny will change a little. According to the most recent reports, this sedan will get new bumpers. Generally, new bumpers are the biggest visual upgrades on this upcoming model. We also expect new exterior colors, but that’s about it. You can easily spot similarities between the Sunny model and sedans such as Nissan Altima and Nissan Maxima.
Thanks to that, the Sunny model provides a stylish appearance with beautiful lines and recognizable front fascia. This model will sit on the same platform as the outgoing model, so Sunny will be 174.2 inches long. The base model provides 15-inch wheels, although you can get optional 16-inch and 17-inch rims.
Interior Upgrades
The interior of the 2023 Nissan Sunny is both spacious and comfortable. This is perhaps the highlight of this cool sedan. The rear legroom is ample, along with the cargo area. Even the base cloth seats are comfortable enough, although optional leather is a much better choice. In the last two years, Nissan added a couple of luxury touches, but Sunny is still far from a premium sedan.
You’ll still get manual climate control, and other basic stuff. A 7-inch touchscreen remains standard, but a new version of the infotainment system should be in the works. The range-topping trim level provides a bigger display, wireless phone integrations, leather upholstery, and ambient lighting.
Engine Specs, Transmission, MPG
Nothing will change under the hood of the 2023 Nissan Sunny. This modern sedan will continue to offer the same 1.6-liter engine. This four-cylinder unit is capable of developing 118 hp and a torque of 110 lb-ft. The FWD setup remains standard, along with the five-speed manual transmission. Optionally, you can get both the AWD system and automatic CVT transmission.
The best part about the Sunny model is its impressive fuel efficiency. Performances are not so great in terms of power, but Sunny gets 36 mpg combined. That is in line with some hybrid rivals, which is quite impressive. No words on the optional engine, but we read a couple of rumors about this sedan getting more power, sacrificing the fuel economy.
2023 Nissan Sunny Price and Release Date
The price of the next 2023 Nissan Sunny will remain, so we expect the base model should cost around $14,000. The sales of the new Sunny sedan will begin in the third quarter of 2022. This model is going on sale in India, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and most of the Asian countries.
