2023 Nissan Versa Gets Mid-Cycle Upgrades

0

The upcoming 2023 Nissan Versa will gain a mid-cycle refresh. We don’t expect major changes, because the 2020 Versa arrived with a complete redesign. Versa is a small sedan that comes at an affordable price. It competes with well-known models in the segment, including Mitsubishi Mirage and Hyundai Accent.

Moreover, the Versa sedan is very efficient, providing good fuel economy. The interior is roomy enough for four adults and we like how modern the interior looks. Nothing will change in terms of performance, but we expect a couple of mild visual updates. The sales will begin later in 2022.

Nissan Versa Facelift

In terms of exterior upgrades, the new 2023 Nissan Versa will introduce minor cosmetic upgrades. As we just mentioned, the 2020MY received a complete revamp. Because of that, Versa still looks fresh and modern. According to most recent reports, the small sedan will mostly gain upgrades on the front fascia.

Moreover, small visual tweaks on the rear section are also a possibility. Dimensionally, Versa will remain unchanged. The V-Motion grille remains as well, along with the sharper styling cues. Lastly, Nissan could deliver new exterior colors, but if that happens, we expect one or two new options.

Interior Review

The interior will only introduce small technology updates. Nothing will change in terms of trim levels, so the 2023 Nissan Versa will be available in the same variants as before. The base Versa S model is very affordable, but it doesn’t look cheap. However, skipping the base trim level would be a smart decision to make.

The Versa SV is a much better choice, as it offers more standard features, a higher level of comfort, and more safety aids. The cabin is roomy enough. You can fit up to five passengers, but four adults are more than recommended. Some things are borrowed from the Nissan Kicks crossover, which is a good thing. The 2023MY will only gain updates in terms of infotainment and safety features.

MPG, Transmission

If you are looking for a small and affordable car with a fuel-efficient engine, the 2023 Nissan Versa is the right way to go. This small sedan will continue to offer a small four-cylinder engine with 122 horsepower and 115 lb-ft of torque. That is far from a powerful engine, but for routine driving needs, it is more than enough.

The automatic Xtronic CVT transmission is available as an option. This means the five-speed manual gearbox remains standard on the base model. The Versa model gets 27 miles per gallon in the city and 35 miles per gallon on the highway.

2023 Nissan Versa Release Date, Price

The price of the base model starts at $15,000. However, the 2023 Nissan Versa will cost slightly more than that, probably $16,000. Moreover, the SV model will set you at $18,000 and the Versa SR model at over $20,000. The sales will begin in the second half of 2022. The Versa sedan will compete in the subcompact segment, along with Mitsubishi Mirage and Hyundai Accent.
