The upcoming 2023 Nissan X-Trail is getting some fascinating updates. That includes a new hybrid powertrain, a nice exterior facelift, and a couple of interior improvements. This reliable SUV will continue its journey all around the globe, including Europe, Asia and Australia.
If you didn’t know, X-Trail is available in the United States, but it is called the Nissan Rogue. The two models are very similar, although the American version is slightly more upright. The sales will begin later in 2022 and here’s everything you need to know.
Nissan X-Trail Facelift
Nissan is getting ready to give its SUV a bold new look, some of which is based on the new Nissan Juke. The 2023 Nissan X-Trail will arrive with new daytime running lights and there is also a new grille. The rear section looks a little more like the model that is already out there, though. On the other hand, the taillights on the Nissan X-Trail have a more angular shape than they did before.
The new Nissan X-Trail will be a little shorter and lighter than the outgoing model, per source. The manufacturer will now offer a two-tone exterior paint scheme and the grille will gain a more trapezoidal shape. Nissan is trying to get more features out of the XMotion concept, which makes perfect sense. As a result, the Nissan X-Trail will now have a cleaner look and better aerodynamics.
Interior Changes
We also expect more dramatic upgrades inside the cabin. The upcoming 2023 Nissan X-Trail will reportedly introduce a new display that looks like the one in the US version. It is a larger 9-inch unit, so this upgrade is very important. As a result, the automaker will reduce the number of traditional buttons and dials.
Nissan will also add some premium touches such as gloss black trims. The seating layout will remain intact and the X-Trail SUV will probably provide a higher level of comfort. We also expect more high-tech features, and generally, more standard equipment. That also includes some of the newest driver-assistance aids.
Engine Specs
The forthcoming 2023 Nissan X-Trail will most likely keep the current engine lineup. However, a new hybrid powertrain is the most likely outcome. For a start, the X-Trail comes with 2.0-liter and 2.5-liter engine options. Both units are four-cylinder engines, providing good fuel efficiency. As for the new hybrid setup, it is Nissan’s e-Power system.
And while the e-Power won’t deliver significantly more power, the X-Trail Hybrid should get 35 mpg combined. Nissan could also deliver a 1.6-liter diesel engine in some countries, but this is far from official. Anyway, the X-Trail SUV will gain hybrid power and this is the most significant upgrade so far.
2023 Nissan X-Trail Release Date, Price
New 2023 Nissan X-Trail will go on sale in Europe, this fall. The exact launch date is still not available. Moreover, we don’t know how much the new model is going to cost. The current variant starts at about $28,500. As a result, a hybrid version will surely start at around $35,000. Nissan will reveal more details in the coming months.
