The upcoming 2024 Infiniti QX50 will go on sale with significant changes. That includes both the exterior and interior improvements. Therefore, we expect to see an even more upright appearance with more standard features and more premium materials. On top of that, Infiniti will provide additional safety systems.
On the other hand, nothing will change under the hood, according to the most recent reports. The price of the upcoming SUV will slightly increase, but we don’t expect to see major changes in terms of price and trim levels. The sales will begin next summer and here’s everything we know about this model so far.
Infiniti QX50 Redesign
While the 2024 Infiniti QX50 won’t introduce a complete redesign, some elements will dramatically change. For a start, this SUV will now wear a more aggressive hood design. Furthermore, the front fascia will sport thinner headlights and a wider grille. Infiniti will introduce additional chrome accents, especially up front and on the c-pillar. The honeycomb grille design remains, so the front section will be as striking as before.
The roof rails will come as standard on some trim levels, and upper trims will provide a standard panoramic moonroof. 19-inch aluminum-alloy wheels are standard, while the 20-inch rims will be available as an option. We don’t expect to see new trim levels, despite some rumors. The QX50 model will once again offer 8.6 inches of ground clearance. New exterior colors will be on offer, but popular options such as Slate Gray and Sunstone Red will remain intact.
Interior Upgrades
Inside the cabin, the 2024 Infiniti QX50 will also see a couple of important improvements. First of all, the current platform remains. Therefore, the QX50 SUV will remain a spacious model with 65 cubic feet of cargo room. Moreover, the rear seats are offering 38.6 inches of legroom, which is quite nice. This time, Infiniti will deliver more upright materials, so the comfort will be even better than before.
On top of that, this model will gain more standard features. We also hope to see new optional packages and more safety aids. The base trim level comes with the same 8-inch touchscreen with updated infotainment. The upper trim levels will provide real luxury with larger displays, leather seats, and more.
Transmission, MPG
In terms of performance, we don’t expect any sort of improvement. As we said, the platform will remain. Therefore, the 2024 Infiniti QX50 will offer a reliable 2.0-liter turbo-four engine. It is a familiar gasoline powertrain with 268 horsepower. On top of that, it also provides 280 lb-ft of torque. This engine gets 23 miles per gallon in the city and 29 mpg on the highway.
The architecture supports a front-wheel-drive system, although you can get an optional AWD setup. Infiniti offers a CVT automatic transmission, so nothing will change mechanically. The ride comfort is great and this SUV acts agile in terms of handling. Unfortunately, a hybrid powertrain is just a rumor, and we believe that the QX50 will continue with the current engine lineup.
2024 Infiniti QX50 Release Date and Price
New 2024 Infiniti QX50 will now cost closer to $40,000, per source. However, the price is not official yet. Still, the Autograph trim level will cost almost $60,000 as it provides real luxury. The sales will begin next summer, which means we will know more details by the end of 2022.
