By The brand-new 2024 Infiniti QX65 is on the way, and it is a very interesting model for a couple of reasons. The manufacturer recently registered a new trademark for the name “QX65.” Currently, the QX55 is a coupe version of the QX50 model. Therefore, the QX65 will most likely represent a coupe variant of the QX60 SUV.
Of course, this is far from official, but we doubt it will be a brand-new model on its own. This version will be made for American dealerships. There are already numerous speculations regarding this model. One of the rumors is a hybrid powertrain. While we wait for Infiniti to reveal all the details, here is what we know so far about the new QX65.
Infiniti QX65 Specs
As we said, the biggest rumor about the new 2024 Infiniti QX65 is a hybrid powertrain. As this is a coupe variant of the QX60 SUV, we expect that the 3.5-liter V6 engine will come as standard. This naturally aspirated gas engine is capable of producing 295 horsepower. Interestingly, the QX60 comes without a hybrid powertrain.
According to multiple reports, the QX65 is about to change that. If hybridization does not occur, Infiniti will have to introduce a more efficient internal combustion engine that meets the emission regulations. Another question is if the QX65 will gain a newly developed hybrid setup or if it will borrow a hybrid system from one of the existing models in Nissan’s lineup.
Design
With the new body style, Infiniti will surely have a better chance to deliver something unique. The 2024 Infiniti QX65 will be a coupe version of the famous QX60 SUV. Therefore, a sloping roofline is a must, and it is just a starting point. Naturally, the coupe will look simpler than the SUV variant. Thanks to that, we don’t expect a lot of novelties.
On the other hand, with sharper lines and improved aerodynamics, the QX65 will look more aggressive. When the QX55 model arrived, it delivered a couple of surprises. With its standard AWD system and sportier look, the QX55 was a success in its first year of production. It made a good first impression, thanks to the advantages and spacious cabin mentioned earlier.
2024 Infiniti QX65 Release Date
The upcoming 2024 Infiniti QX65 will be very impressive. That includes its sportier and more aggressive design, along with a spacious and modern interior. On top of that, a hybrid powertrain is reportedly on the way as well. This model will rival luxury crossovers and SUVs from BMW and Mercedes.
The price is not available yet, but don’t expect a low starting price. In any case, this coupe-like SUV will hit dealerships later in 2023 or in the first quarter of 2024.
