The 2024 Infiniti QX70 will mark a huge comeback, as the manufacturer plans to revive its retired nameplate. This SUV was on the roads until five years ago when the QX50 model replaced it. However, things are a bit different now, so Infiniti plans to introduce a brand-new model. Instead of coming up with a completely new name, Infiniti will once again use the QX70 moniker.
Reportedly, it will be a large SUV, definitely bigger than the QX55 model. This model will try to compete with BMW, Audi, and Mercedes in Europe. Of course, this model will be available in Asia as well. However, QX70 will not reach the American shores in its first production year.
In terms of styling, the new 2024 Infiniti QX70 will wear a familiar design, like the rest of the QX lineup. And while it will look closer to QX60 SUV, the QX70 model will arrive with a coupe-like roofline. Furthermore, this version will have a longer wheelbase, providing more interior room.
However, styling is so easy to recognize, so this model will not be so distinctive. Still, it is a premium SUV with so much to offer. Sure, we expect to see a couple of unique elements, including a unique side profile, new wheels, and new exterior colors.
Infiniti QX70 Interior Review
The dashboard, in our opinion, will resemble the QX60’s quite a bit. The upcoming 2024 Infiniti QX70 will wear a lot of premium materials, so the cabin will look very upright. There are also many technological innovations, like the latest phone software, a large infotainment screen, and the digital instrument cluster.
The Infiniti QX70, on the other hand, would be significantly less practical due to its body design. We anticipate there to be merely two rows of seats, with plenty of legroom in both rows but perhaps a bit less headroom in the second row. We are yet to see the vehicle’s specs. Surely, a sloping roofline will provide some advantages, but also cause some problems.
The forthcoming 2024 Infiniti QX70 will use a familiar 3.5-liter V6 engine. It is the same gasoline powertrain that can be found in the QX60 model. This potent V6 can produce 295 horsepower and up to 270 lb-ft of torque. The AWD system will be optional, so QX70 will offer a standard FWD setup. Moreover, automatic CVT transmission is the most likely outcome for this SUV.
If the QX70 model indeed employs this engine, towing capacity should be rated at around 5,000 pounds. An optional engine is a possibility. Even if it happens, it won’t be a hybrid, that’s for sure. Some reports are suggesting a turbocharged engine with around 400 hp as an option. The Infiniti QX70 will provide good fuel efficiency, even when equipped with an optional all-wheel drive.
2024 Infiniti QX70 Price, Release Date
From what we know, this brand-new model will cost over $50,000. However, the exact price of the 2024 Infiniti QX70 is not available yet. This SUV will make a comeback in the first half of 2023, per sources. By the end of 2022, we should know all details about the new QX70.
