The electric wave isn’t stopping yet, let us introduce the 2024 Nissan Ariya. This brand-new vehicle is entering its second year and already receiving updates. This proves that Nissan is sticking by its guns and showing everyone how much they believe in electric vehicles.
This SUV has all it takes to top the sales charts. Although it is not one of the most sold vehicles as of now. It has the right toolset and amazing design that will last for quite a while. There will be a lot of great innovations in this generation of Ariya. Let’s see what Nissan prepared for us this time around.
Nissan Ariya Interior Improvements
The interior resembles the modern design of the Ariya. The redesigned 2024 Nissan Ariya has an amazing seating design. It will almost feel like you are in a spa with the Zero Gravity seats. There is a lot of legroom in the second row. The center console can slide for extra room. There is ambient lighting which really sets the mood. There will be leather and fabric for upholstery with contrast stitching. Extra cushioning along with a massaging feature.
There are numerous chrome accents all along the cabin to add some luxury points. The dashboard is fully digital which is quite modern and it allows for easier tracking of information. The infotainment system is a 13-inch touchscreen with great connectivity. There are numerous safety features implemented in the Ariya. You get driver’s assistance on highways. It can predict curves and off ramps and automatically slow down. It is part of the ProPilot Assist that relies on Navi Link.
Clean Exterior Design
The outside won’t change too much from the previous version. The new 2024 Nissan Ariya will still look like the SUV from the future. A lot of curves make it more aerodynamic which increases the range on a single charge.
Bumpers fit seamlessly into the design and give a feeling of a unibody build. Wheel rims are 18-inch lightweight alloy, but they have a sharp look to them. No off-roading tires on cheaper trims, perhaps only on Platinum.
Ariya EV Specs
Nissan announced with great pleasure that the 2024 Nissan Ariya will be sold as an electric variant only. This is a good step toward the future, that way Ariya is future-proof. It won’t be affected by upcoming stricter regulations about emissions. To some, it looks similar to the Nissan Leaf. But Ariya comes with all-wheel drive and uses a similar power split system to its GTR sports cars. It has a dual-front/rear electric motor configuration.
Front-wheel drive models can get from zero to sixty in 7.2 seconds. Remember, this isn’t a sports car, it’s a big SUV. But the all-wheel version is more powerful and quite faster. It only needs 5 seconds to sixty. Now, this is drag racer territory. There are four trims for Ariya, Venture, Evolve, Premiere, and Platinum. Only Platinum has dual motor all-wheel drive. The range and power will differentiate from trim to trim. The first three models have an AC synchronous motor with 238 horsepower.
This is more than enough for the SUV to fly around. But the Platinum version has a whopping 390 horsepower. Now, this is some serious power for an SUV. They all come with 110 and 240-volt chargers. Peer-to-peer charging is also available. Some manufacturers offer free charging for some time with the purchase of electric vehicles. It sounds like Nissan is not following this incentive. The all-wheel-drive system is much better suited for difficult terrain. It will be able to go wild on snowy and icy roads.
Impressive Driving Range
The 2024 Nissan Ariya has an amazing range for an SUV. The Venture+ model gets up to 300 miles per single charge. For comparison, the Nissan Leaf gets 226. Evolve+ and Premiere get 285 miles on one charge and the Platinum+ gets 265. Some competition includes Jaguar’s I-pace and Audi’s E-Tron which don’t surpass the 230-mile mark.
2024 Nissan Ariya Release Date and Price
Expect the fresh 2024 Nissan Ariya to drop later in 2023, probably summer. The cheapest version is the Venture+. It will cost around $45000, the Evolve+ is $49000, Premiere $53000 and Platinum+ is $59000. This is not the cheapest option when it comes to electric SUVs but you get a lot of worth for your money.
