The Nissan Frontier Midnight Edition is a special edition version of the Nissan Frontier. It includes blacked-out exterior accents, such as the grille, wheels, and badges, as well as unique interior and exterior styling. The package is designed to give the truck a more aggressive and sporty look. In terms of mechanics, the Midnight Edition package does not change any of the standard powertrain options and features that come with the base truck.
Cosmetic Upgrades and Colors
The 2024 Nissan Frontier Midnight Edition is basically an optional package. It is an appearance upgrade, so don’t expect major changes in terms of performance or anything similar. Still, with nice cosmetic upgrades, this mid-size truck gets a completely new look. Moreover, Midnight Edition will also provide a couple of interior updates. Choose this package and you will get nice-looking 17-inch gloss-black aluminum alloy wheels.
Moreover, this package adds blacked-out side mirrors, Midnight badges, and a blacked-out grille. Some exterior elements are finished in a gloss-black, including bumpers. There are three exterior colors available. The Super Black paint is the most popular one. After all, what’s the point of the Midnight package if it’s not black? Anyway, there are also Glacier White and Gun Metallic colors on offer as well.
Nissan Frontier Midnight Edition Interior Features
The interior of the 2024 Nissan Frontier Midnight Edition will also see a couple of nice updates. Since this package is based on the SV trim level, it is not as luxurious as some other trim levels in the segment. But anyway, the crew cab setup provides ample passenger room in both rows.
This edition provides a standard 8-inch infotainment touchscreen and a modern 7-inch digital display. The seats are equipped with power-operated features, lumbar support, and premium cloth upholstery. Naturally, the cabin is full of black accents and nice premium touches.
Under the Hood
As we said, the 2024 Nissan Frontier Midnight Edition is not a performance package. Therefore, it gets the same engine as the SV trim level. Thanks to that, a 3.8-liter V6 gas engine is in use, providing 310 horsepower and 281 lb-ft of torque. Nissan offers a nine-speed automatic transmission and a standard rear-wheel-drive setup.
Optionally, you can get a four-wheel-drive system and a two-speed transfer case. The truck sprints from 0 to 60 mph in 7.3 seconds and it has a towing capacity of almost 6300 pounds. The ride quality is good, as this mid-size pickup truck has double-wishbone suspension and multi-leaf rear suspension.
2024 Nissan Frontier Midnight Edition Price and Release Date
The price of the SV trim level starts at around $33,000. Therefore, the 2024 Nissan Frontier Midnight Edition will cost an additional $2,000, more or less. The 4×4 system is optional and it will cost $3,000 over the base price. Midnight Edition is a nice and affordable way to equip your mid-size truck with numerous premium touches. Nissan could surprise us with an upgrade or two, and the sales will begin later this summer.
