Nissan delivers some major upgrades in recent years, to all of its vehicles. One such model is the upcoming 2024 Nissan GT-R. The manufacturer revealed the next model a few days ago, and we can’t wait to see this car on the road. The redesign is on the way, so the next GT-R will look new and sportier than before.
There will be three trim levels: Premium, T-Spec, and Nismo. All three variants will provide lots of power, incredible sportiness, and much more. On the other hand, some things will remain intact. Many reports predicted the end of the production for the GT-R model, but Nissan has some other plans, obviously.
Extremely Sporty Design
The forthcoming 2024 Nissan GT-R will provide a couple of essential cosmetic upgrades. All three trim levels will largely benefit from it. For a start, the front fascia is new, with a reshaped bumper and grille. Moreover, the lights are new as well. The grille looks thinner than before, and the mesh has larger openings for better engine cooling.
The 0.26 drag coefficient will remain. New colors are on the way, including Millennium Jade, Midnight Purple, and Stealth Gray. The GT-R Nismo variant will receive a new front lip and larger rear wing. However, this version will continue to offer 20-inch alloy wheels as standard.
Interior Updates
The interior will introduce smaller upgrades. The 2024 Nissan GT-R Premium is the base trim level, and it comes with a standard 8-inch infotainment touchscreen. The carmaker will update its NissanConnect infotainment, which supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The rest of the equipment includes Bose sound system, SiriusXM satellite radio, two-zone climate control, and leather upholstery. The upper trim levels will provide more standard features, but the general cabin design will not change significantly. In any case, expect more safety aids, more quality materials, and new optional packages.
Engine Improvements
Under the hood, Nissan plans to keep things intact. However, the new 2024 Nissan GT-R will produce more power than its predecessor. As we said, there will be three grades available. The GT-R Premium model will be the base one and it will gain additional power. However, we don’t know how much power exactly. On the other hand, the T-Spec variant will produce 565 horsepower, according to numerous reports.
The most potent variant is the GT-R Nismo, as it will generate 600 horsepower. The GT-R hides a potent 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 engine under the hood, and it produces around 480 lb-ft of torque. According to Nissan, the engine has significantly better responsiveness. With additional speed, the GT-R model will introduce new Brembo brakes with larger carbon-ceramic rotors.
2024 Nissan GT-R Price and Release Date
Since the 2024 Nissan GT-R made its debut a few days ago in Japan, the car should go on sale this summer. However, pricing is still not official. Of course, the new model will cost more than its predecessor, so, we predict a price that starts at around $115,500. On top of that, the GT-R Nismo will surely cost over $210,000. This iconic car will also reach American dealerships.
