The next 2024 Nissan Kicks is about to introduce more upgrades. After a recent mid-cycle facelift, the new version will deliver a couple of important refreshments. For a start, Kicks is still a model that comes without an AWD system. Naturally, Nissan will most likely deliver this sophisticated driving system. The 2023MY arrived with new exterior colors, and we expect to see even more paints in the future.
The exterior design will suffer a couple of modifications, which is great to hear. On top of that, the interior should also receive modest updates, but the engine lineup will remain intact. Still, Kicks is a surprisingly roomy model for a subcompact SUV. It provides great fuel efficiency and it comes with an easy-to-drive character.
Styling
The upcoming 2024 Nissan Kicks will receive a nice facelift. After minor updates on the current model, the next one should gain an improved look. Kicks is a very small SUV, so it looks adorable. However, some trim levels are transforming this model into a sporty model. The base trim level offers 16-inch wheels as standard. However, the Kicks SV variant provides 17-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, and body-colored trims.
The SR trim level comes with standard LED headlights and fog lights. On top of that, this version is available with a dark chrome grille, black roof rails, and a rear roof spoiler. Small SUV also delivers a two-tone exterior color scheme. We hope to see some new exterior colors in the future. Even if that does not happen, Kicks will remain a very modern and sleek SUV with an upright design.
Nissan Kicks Interior Changes
The new 2024 Nissan Kicks is coming with an improved interior design. Nissan will upgrade the dashboard, along with some other stuff inside the cabin. While this is a very small SUV, the passenger room is surprisingly ample. Of course, rear occupants won’t have that much legroom, which is logical. Still, this model provides 25 cubic feet of cargo space, which is more than satisfying.
The base trim level provides regular features such as an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and a couple of driver-assistance aids. On the other hand, upper trim levels are available with a premium Bose sound system, Wi-Fi hotspot, leather upholstery, and heated steering wheel.
Powertrain Options and Specs
Under the hood, the upcoming 2024 Nissan Kicks will once again offer a four-cylinder engine. It is a base powertrain option, providing 122 horsepower. And while this unit is potent enough and it provides good fuel efficiency, acceleration is not so great. However, one important upgrade will happen. Currently, Kicks is available in three main trim levels, and none of them offers an AWD system. Once the 2024MY arrives, an all-wheel-drive setup should be available as an option.
In some countries, Kicks comes with a smaller 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine, which is also an efficient powertrain. However, the highlight is the hybrid model. It is the Kicks e-Power variant with 127 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to a small battery pack, this small crossover SUV delivers impressive fuel economy ratings and a solid all-electric driving range.
2024 Nissan Kicks Price, Release Date
The price of the new 2024 Nissan Kicks will start at around $20,000, or slightly above that. Still, the price is affordable, in our opinion. More importantly, the range-topping SR trim level won’t cost over $25,000. The sales will begin next summer, according to the most recent reports.
