By We already wrote about the Titan truck and its possible discontinuation. On the other hand, some rumors are saying the Titan truck will continue to live. This leads us to the 2024 Nissan Titan XD model. From what we heard, this truck will only get more expensive and nothing else.
However, the end of production is still a possibility, per reports. Therefore, there are a couple of possible outcomes, and none of them is official yet. In any case, things are not going so well for the Titan pickup truck and its XD version.
What the Future Holds?
Nissan could drop both the Titan and Titan XD trucks in the near future. Therefore, the 2024 Nissan Titan XD is still a mystery to us, as we don’t know what’s going on. The likeliest outcome is the end of the production. The most recent reports are saying that the production will continue until the end of 2024. After that, Nissan will stop Titan manufacture. Whatsoever, replacement is not an option right now. Thanks to that, the 2024 Titan XD could be the last model. Nissan had big plans with the Titan truck.
The goal was to tackle Ram, GM, and Ford. And while Toyota is doing a great job, it didn’t work so well for Nissan. Subjectively, we love the Titan truck. However, the sales numbers are lower than ever before, probably for a good reason. The same is with the Titan XD, a more expensive variant that offers a diesel engine. The truck is far from popular in recent years, and diesel engines are not the way to go. Yes, other manufacturers are offering diesel trucks, but all of them will face complete electrification in the following months.
Are Updates on the Way?
As we said, Nissan will build Titan for another year and that’s about it. Therefore, the 2024 Nissan Titan XD will probably arrive with minor updates or no updates at all. One interesting rumor is saying that the price will go up, while the truck will remain unchanged. Unfortunately, a diesel engine will not be on offer. Both versions will use the same 5.6-liter V8 engine.
This engine is capable of producing 400 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque. On the other hand, Titan XD is basically a heavy-duty variant of the Titan truck, so it will provide higher towing and payload capacities. Moreover, Titan XD has a longer body and a larger bed.
2024 Nissan Titan XD Launch Date and Price
This truck is ready for another production year. After the 2024 Nissan Titan XD, this model is becoming history, reportedly. The Titan XD truck starts at $47,000 and the range-topping Platinum trim level with a crew cab will cost closer to $70,000. As we said, the price could go up, despite minor updates. The sales will begin in the first half of 2024.
