The forthcoming 2024 Nissan Titan could be the last Titan ever made. According to numerous reports, Nissan plans to axe this model in the following year. Yes, Titan and Titan XD trucks are facing discontinuation. The reason is quite simple. The full-size truck segment is dominated by models from Ram, Ford, and Chevrolet.
In the United States, Nissan Titan had no chance, unfortunately. The Japanese carmaker will offer the 2024MY with almost zero changes. It is the last model in the generation, and also the last model to hit the roads in the U.S. This also means that Toyota Tundra will be the only full-size truck made by foreign manufacturers.
The 2024 Nissan Titan’s modern styling fulfills most requirements. However, it falls short in terms of aesthetic originality to seduce customers away from other products. Nissan is using a dynamic style, and Titan is trying to set itself apart from its more traditional competitors. The current model wears recognizable LED headlights and an outstanding satin-chrome grille that dominates the truck’s powerful front end.
However, no visual changes will be made on the 2024MY. Instead, Nissan Titan will be a carryover, and possibly the last model to hit the markets in the United States. Lastly, we’d like to recommend the Midnight Edition package that comes in a crew cab setup, offering 20-inch wheels and numerous black exterior elements.
Nissan Titan Interior
Unlike the exterior design, the interior of the 2024 Nissan Titan could gain an update or two. We expect to see additional standard features and probably new and optional safety aids. The most recent upgrades feature an amazing 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a new infotainment system, and a heads-up display.
Additionally, Nissan will provide over-the-air updates, and a Pro Pilot safety suit with greater functions. Upper trim levels will offer more cameras and hand-free driving capabilities. The inside of a Titan truck often appears modern and offers a high level of comfort.
A 5.5-liter V8 engine with up to 400 horsepower powers the current model. The same engine will be available once again. Some reports predicted more power this time, but that will not happen. The 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine was another rumor. The speculations were suggesting this engine in combination with an electric motor, creating a plug-in hybrid system. That won’t happen as well, and even the all-electric Titan is not an option.
The Titan XD will deploy the same V8 engine. As before, 9-speed automatic transmission will be on offer. The performance is good, but that’s not enough to be competitive in the United States. Nissan has big plans for the future all-electric vehicles, so a new electric truck could happen in the following years.
2024 Nissan Titan Release Date and Price
From what we know, the price of the 2024 Nissan Titan will once again start at $41,500. As we said, the Titan truck will be axed later next year, so 2024MY is the last one to be in production. The sales will begin next summer.
